McLachlan Tours have expanded its boutique organisation with the appointment of two business development managers following from success with the 100-year Gallipoli centenary and an exclusive distribution partnership in the river cruising market.
The BDM’s appointed include Justin Smythe and Jenny Bevan who will steer growth plans in New South Wales and Queensland respectively, covering the entire suite of McLachlan Tours’ brands: Battlefield Tours; Amras Cruises; Discover Asia; and McLachlan Experiences.
“We’ve excited to announce these recent appointments which will drive our continued growth together with plans for tours to coincide with other key battle anniversaries over the next four years,” McLachlan Tours’ general manager Peter Smith.
Beyond battlefield tourism, Smith said the company’s European cruising division is going from “strength to strength” as a result of McLachlan Tours’ partnership with luxury cruise company Amras.
“Amras’ river cruising program is introducing a new breed of all-inclusive luxury travel to the Australian market, in an appealing price bracket, and Justin and Jenny will be instrumental in bringing these exciting new travel opportunities to Australia’s cruise-mad market,” Smith said.
Smythe has most recently operated his own business representing tour operators, cruise lines and wholesalers to the travel industry, and prior to was in a business development and sales role with the cruise team at Harvey’s Choice Holidays in Sydney.
Bevan has over 20 years of industry expeirence and has been running her own company for the past 14 years representing a range of airline and wholesales clients.
