Infinity has launched a strategic partnership with Centara Hotels & Resorts and Sono Hotels, celebrated with an exclusive agent luncheon at Oh My Papa in Newcastle.
The event welcomed top travel agents from across Newcastle and the Northern NSW Coast to mark an exciting new chapter in Infinity’s Asia-Pacific portfolio.
Between July 2025 and April 2026, Infinity saw strong year-on-year growth across Centara and Sono Hotels properties, with bookings and room nights both tracking well above the prior year. The portfolio maintained a market-leading win rate, continuing an upward trend from previous periods. Booking lead times also stretched further out, reflecting growing forward confidence among Infinity’s agent network.
The Maldives leads the portfolio, with Machchafushi Island Resort & Spa the standout performer, followed closely by Centara Grand Beach Resort Phuket. Thailand remains the dominant market overall, with Phuket, Koh Samui, and the wider Centara Thailand portfolio accounting for the largest share of bookings. Japan is a notable growth story, with Centara Grand Hotel Osaka reflecting surging Australian interest in travel to Japan. Bali also features strongly, especially Away Bali Legian Camakila as well as other hotels in Jimbaran, Ubud and Nusa Dua, highlighting the depth and variety of Asia products that Infinity agents are confidently selling.

Three brands, one vision
The partnership brings together Infinity’s personalised travel expertise with Centara’s portfolio of more than 90 properties across Asia, the Middle East and Europe, alongside Sono Hotels’ design-led lifestyle presence across Southeast Asia. Local agents will benefit from preferential rates, FAM trip opportunities, dedicated in-market support and co-branded marketing tools across both brands. Further roadshows and events are also planned across the Hunter Valley, Central Coast and Port Macquarie over the next 12 months.
“The growth we’re seeing from Newcastle and Northern NSW, nearly 30 per cent year-on-year, tells us this market is ready for world-class Asia product,” Infinity product manager Nicholas Hawksley said. “This partnership with Centara and Sono Hotels gives us exactly that.”
“Through our relationship with Infinity, we look forward to welcoming even more guests, while also opening the door for a whole new audience to discover Sono Hotels across Southeast Asia,” Centara Hotels & Resorts and Sono Hotels representative, Travel Loop owner Charlie Ridout said. “We couldn’t ask for a stronger launch market than Newcastle.”
“The turnout in Newcastle was incredible,” National BDM for Australia Adam Dickson said. “Having owner-managers in the room really showed the level of commitment our agent partners have to their businesses and their clients. It’s exactly the kind of support that makes events like this so worthwhile, and a reminder of just how strong our network in this region is.”
