After competing in the Joburg Open, which was cut short at just 36 holes due to COVID concerns, U.S. golf pro Angus Flanagan (featured image) went into a 10-day quarantine, but that didn’t stop him from practicing his swing.
The University of Minnesota up-and-comer who recently turned pro this year after playing for Europe’s Walker Cup team, reconfigured his hotel room into a little practice facility.

Flanagan took to Twitter to show off the improvised driving range featuring a re-arranged mattress that leans up against the wall and a launch monitor to measure his shot.
He’s even cleared a bit of space in the room to make sure he’s got plenty of space for his swing.
Twitter users commented on his post to congratulate the innovation, although some pointed out that the neighbours and the hotel owners might not be too happy.

While Flanagan has shown his drive to keep his practice going through hotel quarantine, this activity isn’t recommended for every golf player as you could end up with a very costly hotel bill.
