International Rail has launched a new online booking system for “The Rest of the World” rail services, available to travel professionals across Australia and New Zealand.

This marks a significant expansion of IR’s digital platform and follows the successful release of their Japan and US rail system earlier this year.

Agents can now conveniently request rail bookings directly through the website, streamlining access to Portugal, Norway, Sweden and Poland in Europe, China and South Korea in Asia, as well as Morocco.  Bookings can be made up to four months in advance, with tickets issued 60 days prior to travel or once ticketing opens.

As part of IR’s ongoing commitment to empowering the trade, this enhancement offers lower fares and booking fees, commission on online bookings and quicker quoting and booking processes – all while still having access to local rail experts to assist with any booking enquiries.

This is a long-awaited win for trade partners who, until now, could only access these destinations rail services via email. With many of these destinations trending as top places to visit in 2025, this new system offers an efficient, time-saving solution for all.

“At International Rail, we listen closely to our trade partners and continuously work to deliver the tools and services they seek,” International Rail owner and CEO Jonathan Hume said.

“The launch of our Rest of World booking tab is another example of how we’re responding to demand and expanding our product offering to make European rail even more accessible and efficient for agents across Australia and New Zealand.”

This new booking capability is designed to meet growing demand and reinforce the brands shared mission to simplify rail travel worldwide.
