Intrepid Travel has expanded its Premium portfolio with three new itineraries and more than 50 new experiences, as the travel style continues to be one of the company’s fastest-growing segments.

The additions follow 19 per cent global growth in the Premium range during 2025. New research commissioned by Intrepid, surveying more than 8,000 travellers across Australia, the UK, the US and Canada, found 69 per cent of respondents place greater value on trips where logistics and planning are handled for them.

Intrepid now offers more than 100 Premium trips across six continents and 62 countries. The three new itineraries depart from May 2027 and are available to book now.

Greenland

The eight-day Premium Greenland trip – Intrepid’s second land-based tour in the country – includes a stay at a remote eco-lodge near the UNESCO-listed Ilulissat Icefjord and a boat excursion to the Eqi Glacier.

Norway

The eight-day Premium Norwegian Fjords itinerary features a stay at Knutholmen, a historic Nordic fishing village, with access to a floating sauna overlooking the bay.

Costa Rica

The eight-day Premium Costa Rica – Tortuguero and the Caribbean Coast trip includes a stay at Tortuga Lodge and a visit to a permaculture farm, where guests harvest ingredients before joining a local family for a traditional Afro-Caribbean cooking experience.

Across the broader Premium portfolio, new signature experiences include an after-hours visit to the UNESCO-listed My Son Sanctuary in Vietnam alongside a Cham researcher and conservationist, and access to the private workshop of a master Andalusian imagery sculptor on the Spain itinerary.

Erica Kritikides, general manager of experiences at Intrepid Travel, said demand was coming from travellers who want comfort without losing authentic local access.

“Our Premium style brings together our most experienced local leaders, handpicked feature stays and carefully curated inclusions, taking the stress out of travel while delivering exceptional and distinct experiences,” Kritikides said.

Intrepid’s Premium range sits alongside three other travel styles – Basix, Original and Comfort – designed to suit different budgets and preferences. Intrepid said travel advisors would have access to a refreshed Premium webpage featuring updated itinerary details across the expanded portfolio.
