After scouring the globe on the hunt for Rachel Argaman’s replacement, TFE has appointed Antony Ritch as their new Chief Executive Officer.

Ritch, who has spent 20 years working with Westfield Corporation, will be relocating from Los Angeles, USA to Sydney, Australia to commence his role at TFE in February 2019.

Argaman resigned as CEO in May after 20 years at the company and 11 years in the top role. She told Travel Weekly she would be taking up the helm as CEO of Opal Aged Care.

During his career, Ritch has undertaken a diverse range of senior roles across Australia, the USA and the UK which have honed his leadership, commercial and entrepreneurial skills.

He has held international roles in shopping centre operations, property development, regional operations, business development, digital disruption and corporate management.

“With his proven track record and extensive leadership and entrepreneurial skills, he will play an invaluable role in leading our team and supporting our growing global pipeline of new and existing hotels,” said Allan Vidor, Chairman of TFE Hotels.

Ritch’s most recent appointments saw him play a key leadership role in Westfield’s digital transformation, as Chief Operating Officer for Westfield Labs, and then Executive Vice President of Shopping Centres and Venues for OneMarket, that became an independent company following the Westfield merger with Unibail Rodamco.

He has worked at the forefront of creating unique customer destinations, bringing together physical environments, technology and people to create better retail experiences for customers.

“I have always admired the TFE Hotels business, and I’m thrilled to be joining the team in Australia. As travel and hospitality continue to evolve globally, I am excited by the unique opportunities that TFE Hotels’ growing portfolio and guest experiences will bring to this dynamic industry,” Antony said.
