Introducing the Luxury Childcare Association
SHARE

Worldwide Kids, a leading provider of family and childcare services to the luxury hospitality sector, launches the Luxury Childcare Association (LCA).

The LCA is a hotel membership platform and accreditation programme dedicated to elevating childcare standards within the luxury hospitality sector. The first of its kind, it defines a new benchmark in luxury family travel, delivering professional, safe and fun experiences for young travellers and peace of mind for their parents.

Worldwide Kids managing director Lal Askar said, “As family travel continues to evolve, luxury resorts must meet the growing expectations of discerning guests. The Luxury Childcare Association is designed to ensure that childcare in these exceptional settings matches the quality of service expected throughout the rest of the resort.”

The LCA aims to provide benefits to parents and hotels alike, ensuring that parents know their children are in the safest of hands while hotels can confidently offer best-in-class childcare services. The LCA sets the gold standard for childcare within luxury hospitality with ambitions to become the Michelin Star of family travel, ensuring that resorts offer more than just facilities but also provide expertly designed, developmentally appropriate and engaging experiences for children that contribute to an unforgettable travel experience.

With over 30 years’ experience supporting the world’s most prestigious hotel brands, Worldwide Kids has worked alongside renowned luxury resorts to shape outstanding childcare offerings, specialising in creating child-friendly spaces and experiences, to improve and elevate family offerings. They are passionate that hotels and resorts need qualified experts to design and deliver children’s offerings successfully, with their staff trained in a leisure tourism environment to provide both a professional and fun experience. By launching the LCA, Worldwide Kids aim to recognise and further support resorts committed to the highest standards in childcare. However, being a client of Worldwide Kids is not a prerequisite to becoming an LCA member: all hotels and resorts who offer leading child services are welcome to join, provided they pass the initial grading process, and the annual improvement audits.

Benefitting parents and hotels.

How to become a member

To become a member of the LCA, resorts must qualify by meeting a robust criteria from the range of facilities on offer to the levels of staff. They must also commit to an annual audit and enrol their childcare teams in the Worldwide Kids’ International Childcare for Leisure and Tourism programme, accredited by City & Guilds, ensuring the highest industry standards. Staff who complete the training programme are rewarded with a diploma that enhances their credentials and provides a great incentive for hospitality recruitment.

Member benefits

By becoming a member, hotels and resorts gain access to tailored guidance on how to enhance family-friendly offerings, opportunities to increase revenue and access to new markets. The LCA also acts as a customer-facing platform, allowing guests to search for recommended properties and increasing discoverability for members, as well as the opportunity for guests to book directly with the property.

Leading LCA members benefit from increased brand reputation and enhanced credibility. Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, One&Only Royal Mirage, One&Only The Palm, Atlantis The Palm, Atlantis The Royal and JA The Resort were amongst the first hotels in the world awarded an LCA plaque to be proudly displayed outside of their kids’ club, presented to them at the Arabian Travel Market 2025.

As part of the Worldwide Kids family, LCA members gain access to Worldwide Kids’ Digital Safety Platform, a cutting-edge system that enhances security, streamlines management, ensures compliance and improves operational efficiency. They also integrate with Worldwide Kids’ industry leading Standard Operating Procedures and documentation, ensuring a consistent, professional and safe childcare experience.
