RAKxa has launched a new programme focused on longevity.

Thailand’s RAKxa Integrative Wellness is tapping into the growing demand for longevity tourism.

It has launched a programme focused on the role hormones play in ageing. Its Hormonal Rebalance+ programme combines medical testing with personalised treatments.

The programme reflects a broader shift in the wellness industry towards preventative health, as travellers increasingly seek treatments that promise benefits beyond their stay.

RAKxa’s approach begins with a comprehensive hormonal panel measuring insulin, thyroid and reproductive hormones, cortisol and DHEA-S.

The results are then used by the retreat’s medical and wellness teams to identify potential imbalances.

Hormonal changes can affect everything from energy levels and muscle strength to sleep and stress responses. Symptoms sometimes emerging well before more significant health concerns.

RAKxa says its programme aims to help guests better understand these changes and develop strategies to support their long-term wellbeing.

Medical testing meets traditional therapies

RAKxa has also incorporates a range of traditional and complementary treatments into the programme.

Guests can undertake tailored movement sessions with sports scientists and physiotherapists, including yoga, Tai Chi and exercises combining physical movement with cognitive challenges.

RAKxa also offers Ayurvedic treatments such as Shirodhara and Marma Healing Massage, alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations and acupuncture.

Other options include Thai Women Care Massage, which combines herbal-infused charcoal therapy, targeted massage and warm salt-pot compression, and Zen Na Tai, an energy-based treatment drawing on Traditional Chinese Medicine and craniosacral massage techniques.

Sleep is another focus, with the retreat’s Signature Sleep Enhancement treatment combining massage and singing bowls to encourage relaxation.

RAKxa says the combination of medical insights, movement, nutrition and traditional therapies is designed to give guests a more personalised approach to healthy ageing.

The programme comes as longevity continues to gain traction in luxury travel, with wellness resorts increasingly incorporating diagnostic testing and preventative health services into their offerings.
