Jetstar has launched a Japan and South Korea fare sale with close to 25,000 discounted seats to Tokyo, Osaka, and Seoul from $179 one-way.

The low-cost airline has seen popularity continue to rise this year with ticket sales growing 24 per cent to South Korea, and 11 per cent to Japan so far in 2025.

“Australians can’t get enough of visiting Japan and South Korea, with no signs of demand slowing,” Jetstar executive manager, customer Jenn Armor said.

“We love to see our customers getting their holiday plans out of the group chat and into their calendar by booking early, helping them to take their dream holiday for less.”

Savvy travellers booking ahead

Jetstar’s latest data shows budget-conscious travellers are planning ahead to score the best deals. More than a third (34 per cent) of bookings to Japan this year have been made more than six months out – a seven per cent increase on last year. South Korea advance bookings are up eight per cent, with 37 per cent of customers booking between three and six months before their trip.

  • Cairns to Tokyo (Narita) from $179
  • Brisbane to Osaka (Kansai) from $209
  • Brisbane to Seoul (Incheon) from $220
