Jetstar launches new direct flights between Bali and Gold Coast

Jetstar has announced new direct flights between Bali (Denpasar) and the Gold Coast beginning 1 August with sale fares from $199.

The new service makes Jetstar the first low-cost carrier to offer direct flights between the Gold Coast and Bali. With three flights per week, the new route adds more than 58,000 low fare seats for travellers each year. The airline will base two of the newest aircraft in its fleet, the Airbus A320neo on the Gold Coast to operate the flights.

With the introduction of this new route, Jetstar continues to be the biggest carrier to and from the Gold Coast. Another three new Jetstar routes will take off in June to Hamilton and Dunedin in New Zealand, and Darwin.

To celebrate today’s announcement, Jetstar is launching a 72-hour Route Launch Sale with one-way sale fares from Gold Coast to Bali (Denpasar) available from midday today Queensland time from just $199.

“We are thrilled to provide our customers with a low-cost connection between the Gold Coast and Bali, making it more affordable and convenient for travellers to reach the Indonesian holiday island,” Jetstar Group CEO, Stephanie Tully, said.

“Bali has always been Jetstar’s most popular international destination and it’s not hard to see why with its beautiful beaches and resorts, delicious food, friendly locals, affordability, and proximity to Australia.”

“Bali is a popular holiday choice for locals, with more than 130,000 passengers travelling between the two destinations in the past two years,” Queensland Airports limited CEO, Amelia Evans, said. “This is a huge win for our region, making Bali more accessible and providing more options for locals looking to book their next getaway!”

The new service operates every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday from 1 August 2025.

This announcement builds on Jetstar’s recent network expansion, which includes three new routes launching in June from the Gold Coast to Hamilton and Dunedin in New Zealand, as well as Darwin.
