After a 16 year tenure as ceo TTC Australia, Weeks will move to become non-executive chairman, while Veitch will be based in the Sydney office reporting directly to owner and global ceo, Brett Tollman.

Veitch joins the independent travel group after a decade with Flight Centre, and most recently as executive general manager, corporate.

“John has excellent credentials for this role, being the highly-regarded, dynamic and successful leader that he is. I look forward to working closely with John to create and execute our growth strategies and ensure the ongoing prosperity of the business,” Tollman said.

Weeks said in his capacity as chairman he would assist Veitch with the transition “as he moves to take the helm and drive continued success for TTC Australia”.

Veitch also has extensive expertise in finance, telecoms and media, having worked across a number of industries prior to joining Flight Centre in 2004.
