Due to unprecedented demand across the 2023 season, Journey Beyond has announced additional departures on The Ghan.

Whether guests are travelling from Adelaide to Darwin on The Ghan or vice versa on The Ghan Expedition, availability has been increased, allowing more guests to experience this epic journey.

Additional departures have been scheduled throughout October 2023 and are already booking out quickly. The demand for the journey shows domestic travel is recovering.

International visitors are starting to return and Australians are continuing to seek connection to country with a quintessentially Australian experience, no passport needed.

Chief revenue officer Peter Egglestone said: “We’re delighted with the amount of interest shown for this iconic rail journey, by both Australians and returning international visitors.

“We’re also proud of our team, who have put in a great deal of effort to extend The Ghan’s capacity, working closely with ARTC and Pacific National to provide these additional departures.”

Availability on these departures is limited, so guests wishing to journey on The Ghan should book quickly to secure their cabin.
