Journey Beyond has relaunched its Become a Beyonder trade incentive, offering travel advisors the chance to win a place on the operator’s mega famil after what the company described as a record-breaking 2026 campaign.

The incentive opened today, 1 September, with top-performing agents from around the world competing for one of 14 spots on a bespoke nine-day famil showcasing some of Australia’s best-known travel experiences, taking place in March 2027.

A “Beyonder”, according to Journey Beyond, is an expert-level brand devotee – an agent who goes beyond for clients and lives the company’s “we go further, to take you beyond” tagline.

“Are you ready to Journey Beyond on another unforgettable adventure?” said Alicia Triggs, executive general manager of sales and partnerships at Journey Beyond. “We’re rolling out the red carpet once again to bring travel agents from across the globe along for the ride to Become a Beyonder.”

The nine-day itinerary spans Rottnest Island, Margaret River touring with Outback Spirit and the Indian Pacific rail journey.

A record 2026

Journey Beyond said sales rose 40 per cent year-on-year during the 2026 campaign, with its sales team conducting 832 store visits and sales meetings, delivering 751 agent training sessions and hosting 67 bespoke Beyonder events across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US.

“Our 2026 Beyonder campaign was an incredible success story,” Triggs said. “Agents around the world threw themselves into the challenge to Become a Beyonder, and the numbers speak for themselves.”

Five ways to earn a spot

  1. Bookings Beyond – six spots for the AUS/NZ consultants who book the most guests on Rail, Outback Spirit and Grand Pacific Touring, plus one North America and one UK/Europe consultant spot, each booking earning a random-draw entry
  2. Sell Beyond – three spots for the agencies with the highest year-on-year revenue growth across Rail, Outback Spirit and Grand Pacific Touring
  3. Learning Beyond – one spot, drawn at random, for an agent who attends all three campaign webinars and completes each quiz
  4. Creativity Beyond – one spot for the agency behind the most creative campaign activation. Last year’s winner, Helloworld Toowoomba, hand-painted The Ghan onto its store’s sliding front door
  5. The Golden Ticket – every eligible booking made between 1 September and 31 October 2026, on Journey Beyond Rail, Outback Spirit, Vintage Rail Journeys or Grand Pacific Tours for 2027 travel, is entered into a draw for one additional spot

“With 14 highly coveted spots up for grabs, we’re on the hunt for agents who go above and beyond for their clients in true Journey Beyond style,” Triggs said.
