LATAM has unveiled cabin details for its new Embraer E195-E2 fleet, which LATAM Airlines Brazil will begin operating from the fourth quarter of 2026 to strengthen connectivity across its domestic Brazilian network. The airline has a firm order for 24 of the aircraft.
Each E195-E2 will carry 136 seats in a 2-2 configuration, with two seats on each side of the aisle, split across Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Premium Economy will offer up to 20 seats, depending on aircraft configuration, with no blocked middle seats, additional legroom, greater seat recline and personalised onboard service. Seats throughout the aircraft will include adjustable headrests, reclining backrests, personal device holders and USB-C charging ports.
LATAM Airlines Group vice president of customers Paulo Miranda said the new aircraft would maintain the airline’s existing passenger experience. “Every addition to our fleet strengthens our ability to offer a comfortable, connected, and personalised journey,” Miranda said.
The aircraft will use SES’s latest satellite connectivity technology, which LATAM said would provide a more stable, consistent and lower-latency internet connection in flight. LATAM Pass members will receive complimentary onboard Wi-Fi. The aircraft’s LATAM Play entertainment system will offer more than 2000 hours of content, including 300 films, more than 1000 series episodes and more than 900 music albums, alongside children’s content and reading material from platforms including Disney+, HBO Max and Paramount+.
The first E195-E2 aircraft are expected to arrive during the last quarter of the year.
LATAM operates a total of nine weekly non-stop services between Australia and Santiago.
These flights provide onward connections throughout LATAM’s South American network, including:
- Brazil (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro)
- Peru (Lima, Cusco)
- Argentina (Buenos Aires)
- Colombia (Bogotá)
- Ecuador (Quito, Guayaquil)
- Uruguay (Montevideo)
- Patagonia and other regional destinations via Santiago.
For Australian travellers, LATAM remains the only airline operating non-stop services between Australia and Chile, with codeshare arrangements allowing seamless connections with partner airlines into North America and across South America.
