Luxury travel took centre stage in Sydney on Wednesday 11 February as Leading Hotels of the World (LHW) hosted an elegant showcase at Shell House, welcoming top-tier travel advisors to connect with some of Italy’s most prestigious hotels.
The event formed part of the 2026 Australia Leading Italian Roadshow, a curated week-long program designed to strengthen relationships between Italian luxury properties and Australia’s influential travel trade.
Hosted by Tim Chatfield, director Travel Trade APAC (excluding China), alongside Fiza Han, Interim Managing Director APAC Sales, the evening brought together representatives from 22 Italian hotels, offering Australian advisors rare direct access to iconic properties spanning historic city palazzos, coastal retreats and countryside estates.
“It’s a great pleasure to finally meet so many travel advisors face to face connecting with 22 hoteliers from Italy,” Han said.
“They are incredible storytellers that are excited to showcase their exceptional services. We want to acknowledge the continued support from advisors in Australia, your expertise makes a real difference to your clients and their experience.”
A highlight of the evening was the impressive lineup of generous giveaways. The major prize, an extraordinary 13-night Italian luxury itinerary, was awarded to Carina Tanna from Mary Rossi Travel, featuring stays at some of Italy’s most glamorous Leading Hotels of the World properties. Additional prizes included luxury hotel stays, curated travel experiences and exclusive hospitality offerings.
Beyond the glamour, the roadshow reinforces Australia’s growing importance as a key luxury outbound market, ensuring advisors remain equipped with firsthand insights, strong partnerships and inspiration to craft unforgettable Italian journeys for their clients.
