They say leave only footprints behind and take home nothing but memories but that will not be the case with legendary Italian hotel, Il San Pietro di Positano, which opens the doors to a new boutique on 1 April.
Renowned for its breathtaking location, service, authentic Italian luxury, timeless elegance and hospitality, the hotel has unveiled the Il San Pietro Boutique to mark this milestone.
The new boutique will open in time for the European summer season and will capture the Italian heritage and creativity of the venue, which is celebrating 55 years of operation, with an exclusive line of clothing and accessories designed and produced uniquely for the property, blending tradition, colour and contemporary style.
“Il San Pietro is more than a hotel; it is our home, and for 55 years, it has been a labor of love,” said Vito and Carlo Cinque, the third generation leading the hotel.
“Our challenge has always been to ensure an iconic property like ours remains relevant for future generations while preserving its soul. The boutique reflects this vision – it is a tribute to Il San Pietro’s style and the attention to detail that defines everything we do. Each piece in our collection is a celebration of our history and our roots, created with deep respect for our local artisans and Italian craftsmanship.”
The boutique’s exclusive collection features the finest hotel-branded clothing and accessories, each item crafted to mirror Italian heritage while offering guests the opportunity to carry a piece of the Amalfi Coast back home – whether purchased on-site or online.
“We have also worked on a dedicated tennis capsule collection to honour our iconic tennis court which literally sits on the coastline,” the Cinques added.
The one-of-a-kind court offers panoramic views of the turquoise Tyrrhenian Sea, perched on a terraced hillside surrounded by Mediterranean greenery.
Located adjacent to the bar and main terrace, the boutique is a stunning extension of the hotel’s architectural charm. Designed by Fausta Gaetani, Gaia Meriggioli, and Ornella Ornaghi, the space mirrors its natural surroundings.
At its heart are the colourful Vietrese ceramics, featuring shades of green, turquoise, and Mediterranean blue, all branded with the hotel’s iconic dolphin logo, adding a touch of local charm. Sophisticated brass accents enhance the space, balancing simplicity with refinement. A unique highlight is the rehearsal booth, inspired by Saracen nomadic tents. Minimalist furnishings allow the boutique’s creative collection to take center stage, while a strategically placed mirror invites visitors to fully immerse themselves in the space’s captivating atmosphere.
“The boutique embodies our philosophy of blending elegance with authenticity,” Vito and Carlo added. “Every detail – from the design to the complete collections – was conceived with the goal of offering guests a unique piece and a timeless experience. Beyond just products, it is a treasure trove of passion, creativity, and dedication to the values that have defined Il San Pietro for 55 years.”
Il San Pietro di Positano also offers private boat transfers from Salermo Costa d’Amalfi Airport which opened last year July. Guests take a short 15-minute drive from the airport to the Marina di Arechi Port, and are then whisked in a private boat away to Il San Pietro.
