This week, MTA’s Bettiann Gain wowed us with her fantastic bartending skills and extensive knowledge of the sales at Dan Murphy’s.
What are you reading?
I’ve Come to Say Goodbye by Barbara Carmichael, lent to me by my fellow MTA agent Sue Basedow to remind us of our trip to India.
What are you watching?
Netflix. Just finished watching The English Game.
What are you listening to?
“I Will Survive” by Gloria Gaynor.
What are you cooking?
Lots of new recipes. It’s a great time to experiment with a captive audience.
How are you staying fit both physically and mentally?
With a walk on the beach each morning and some tennis. And mentally … umm, I forgot?
What’s the one thing keeping you sane?
Funny emails, jokes and YouTube videos, and all the amazing messages and positive thoughts from fellow MTA agents and head office staff, along with my amazing clients.
What’s something positive you’ve witnessed or experienced since the coronavirus hit?
Just the wonderful support I receive from my MTA family and the great sales at Dan Murphy’s.
What have you learned about yourself amid the crisis?
The ability to stay positive and my knowledge of how many different drinks I know how to make.
What’s your advice for others in the travel industry on coping with the crisis?
That is the hardest question I have been asked. What can you say that hasn’t already been said?
You are not alone, hang in there and only look forward. As a famous person once said, this too shall pass.
