Lufthansa will be doubling its lounge space at Munich Airport, its number two hub, when the airport’s new satellite passenger terminal opens in April 2016.
The airline says it’s setting up five additional lounges with a total floor area of more than 4,000 square metres for weary travellers in the new building.
Included in the tally is a 1,000-square-metre first-class lounge on the top level with sleeping spaces and office space as well as a bar and an upmarket restaurant.
First-class passengers will undergo passport checks from German border police there without having to mix with crowds.
