Lufthansa has just announced that passengers travelling between Kuala Lumpur and Frankfurt will be able to book Premium Economy seats from 29 May.
Fitted with three travel classes – Business, Premium Economy and Economy – the Lufthansa Airbus A340-300 operates a daily non-stop service between Frankfurt and Kuala Lumpur, offering passengers on this route connection to the largest European airline network.
“We are delighted to have the Premium Economy product available on this route from now on; it provides our passengers more travel class options based on the individual’s needs. Roll-out of the new travel class is Lufthansa’s commitment to provide passengers a five-star service experience and to further strengthen Lufthansa’s position in the competitive international environment,” general manager of Lufthansa Malaysia Paurus Nekoo said.
Passengers travelling in Premium Economy Class can check in two bags, each weighing up to 23 kg, free of charge, which is twice the allowance in Economy Class. For a nominal fee of 25€, they can also enjoy the facilities provided in the Lufthansa Business Lounges.
On board, each Premium Economy passenger will be greeted with a welcome drink. Additionally, passengers will also find a bottle of water and a top-quality amenity kit with practical travel accessories at their seats. Meals can be selected from a dedicated menu, which also offers local Malaysian delicacies and are served on porcelain tableware.
The Premium Economy seat offers a 38 inches seat pitch, offering passengers on this travel class 50% more room compared to Economy class. Each has its own, broad armrest, which allows greater privacy and in total provides about 4 inches more space at
“Passengers can now enjoy both extra comfort and quality service on board at an affordable price. Premium Economy product is great for cost-conscious business travellers and leisure travellers who want more comfort on board, as well as greater privacy with premium service,” Nekoo said.
