Luxperience is landing in Sydney on September 6, bringing with it the inaugural launch of its Luxperience Awards.
The prestigious awards, to be judged by a panel of travel industry experts, are designed to recognise and reward top jobs in both development and promotion of luxe products in the luxury market.
Winners will be announced in front of 500+ guests during a glittering Gala Dinner and Awards Evening, which will take place on September 8 on the rooftop of The Star.
Luxperience’s director of marketing Michelle Papas said winners will set the industry bar high.
“Winners will set industry standards for inspiration, innovation and quality, raising the bar for others to emulate,” she said.
“With some of the world’s most impressive suppliers and our elite group of decision-makers in the global luxury and experiential travel arena in attendance, these awards will recognise not only their endeavours but the evolution of luxury travel and highlight the shining stars and visionaries of this Lux community.”
GM of hotels at The Star John Autelitano also commented on the awards debut, saying the venue is excited to partner up with Luxperience for the Gala Dinner.
“The partnership has presented The Star with a terrific opportunity to showcase what we have to offer as Sydney’s premier entertainment destination,” he said.
“We look forward to helping the Luxperience guests enjoy what this wonderful city has to offer.”
There will be three awards for buyers and three for suppliers, under the themes of Inspiring, Meaningful and Connections.
The Inspiring Award will recognise one buyer and one supplier that best demonstrates excellence in the planning and development of innovative products and services, acknowledging entrepreneurial vision, market leadership and uniqueness.
The Meaningful Award will pay tribute to a buyer and a supplier that contributes to a greater understanding of history, heritage and culture, incorporating elements such as sense of community, experiential tourism or social responsibility within their program or product.
The Connections Award will recognise a successful e-marketing campaign, both from the buyer and supplier sides, which effectively connect with key target markets within the luxury or high end experiential travel space.
In addition to these six awards, Luxperience will recognise an outstanding destination partner that has influenced the development of luxury and experiential tourism within their country or region.
Entries for the Luxperience 2015 Awards open on April 13 and the deadline for submissions is July 13.
