Luxperience 2023 concluded last Thursday evening at the International Convention Centre (ICC) after a three-year hiatus.

Luxperience brought together 75 suppliers and 120+ elite travel professionals for three days of curated business appointments.

Event director, Lynn Ormiston, and the Luxperience team orchestrated over 4,300 one-on-one curated appointments throughout the three days.

“Luxperience is designed to bring together the industry’s top performers for business meetings that drive strong luxury travel sales. Our buyers commended this year’s event for the outstanding calibre and diversity of suppliers, more than 50 per cent of which were new to the event,” Ormiston said.

The Luxperience team hosted four networking functions and social events, including a Welcome Reception at the Kimpton Margot, a cocktail party at Shell House Sky Bar, a sunset soiree, and farewell drinks at ICC Sydney.

From a buyer’s perspective, Lea Verna from Luxe Executive Travel stated: “Luxperience proved to be immensely beneficial for my business. Over the course of three days, I had the opportunity to connect with 40 suppliers, gaining insight and establishing valuable business relationships. I engaged with outstanding suppliers not only from within Australia but also from overseas, massively expanding my network.”

Exhibitor Quark Expeditions’s regional sales director Robert Halfpenny added: “I was pleasantly surprised at the calibre and quantity of advisors in search of innovative and unique Luxury Experiences – and not just properties.  One mentioned that Luxury is what most others cannot experience!”

Anna Burgdorf, global brand & marketing director – Luxury Leisure brands for FCTG, highlighted: “The future of Luxperience is very bright. We look forward to taking the feedback we’ve received and creating an even more impressive showcase in 2024. The heritage of the event is important, however we are already planning for an even stronger future, although the boutique nature will always be retained. It’s not about volume but about quality for this exceptional brand.”

Luxperience 2024 is scheduled to return from 19 to 22 November 2024 and will add a one-day Development Summit preceding the personal appointment schedules. High profile panellists will come together to cover topics that are top of mind for luxury travel and discerning travellers.

Luxperience was acquired by the Flight Centre Travel Group in April this year, as part of the company’s growing Luxury Travel Collection, which includes the Travel Associates and Scott Dunn brands.
