Luxury Escapes has launched its first Arctic private charter tour, giving Australian travellers exclusive access to five Nordic countries aboard a specially chartered Boeing 737-300 – and at a price point that undercuts comparable offerings by a significant margin.
The Arctic Wonders Exclusive Private Charter, unveiled today in Melbourne, is a 16-day journey sweeping through Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland and Scotland, with the aircraft flying point-to-point between destinations that commercial airlines don’t directly connect.
Priced at $34,999 per person – which the company says is well below the industry benchmark of roughly $10,000 per day for comparable private charter tours – the package includes international return flights from Australia, four internal charter flights, and accommodation across a range of four- and five-star properties.

The itinerary opens in Stockholm, where guests dine in a Nobel banquet setting at the Grand Hôtel, before heading north to Finnish Lapland to sleep beneath the aurora in glass-roofed igloos. From there, the group flies to Norway’s Lofoten Islands for a cruise into Trollfjord and, for the adventurous, a polar plunge into Arctic waters. Iceland’s volcanic terrain follows, with geothermal bathing among the highlights, before the tour concludes in Edinburgh – ending with a farewell dinner inside Barnbougle Castle, a fortress dating to the 13th century, overlooking the Firth of Forth.
Luxury Escapes co-founder and CEO Adam Schwab said Nordic destinations are among the most-requested on the company’s bucket list data, driven by a surge in nature-focused travel and the cinematic pull of landscapes made famous in Hollywood productions – including the Norwegian and Icelandic terrain associated with the Thor franchise.
“What makes this charter so special is that it connects destinations commercial airlines don’t reach, meaning less time in transit and more time actually exploring these unique places,” Schwab said.
The tour is open to Luxury Escapes members, with Australians given first access. Departures are expected to be limited given the private charter format.
