Helping to make holiday dreams come true, currency exchange specialist Travelex has launched the world’s first travel aggregator that looks beyond flights and accommodation to provide holidaymakers with the true cost of a holiday.
In partnership with Skyscanner, the Luxury for Less by Travelex travel search engine uses hotel and flight data, figures on average spend, and the foreign exchange rates to help Australians book a luxury holiday without the deluxe price tag.
To navigate the site all users have to do is enter their takeoff location, preferred travel dates, budget, and number of travellers and Travelex will do the rest.
Travelex head of retail Australia and New Zealand, Daniel Simone said “the travel engine brings together the world’s hottest destinations under one roof to help Australians discover the best luxury locations for less. Helping travellers make their money go further, the site also provides top travel tips, research and booking tools, and hacks including the best times to fly when considering weather, local events, and currency exchange fluctuations.”
For instance, the local currency in Thailand has fallen 5.9 percent in the last twelve months meaning travellers looking to escape to cold will get $59 more for every $1000 exchanged.
For those in need of a city break, London could be the place to visit. According to the site, The foreign exchange rate has fallen by 22.35 percent in the last 12 months meaning holiday goers will get $233 more for every $1000 exchanged.
According to the site, there are also 605 Michelin star restaurants in London while the average bottle of mid range wine is $7.
Lisbon is another hot destination for those keen to experience a beach holiday and cultural expedition (plus some of Europe’s best seafood!).

Travelex asked 2,000 people globally about their favourite jet-setting hot spots to develop the engine and bring users affordable luxury locations.
The opportunities are endless if you have the right information at your fingertips,” Simone added.
