The Luxury Travel Collection (LTC) has embraced the power of narratives and the luxury of truly bespoke experiences at its annual Global Business Owners Soiree.
Against the striking backdrop of Longreach, this boutique event brought together 100 of LTC’s Global Business Owners and Partners to honour the rich travel legacy and cultural significance of this remarkable destination.
Flight Centre Travel Group managing director luxury and independent brands, Danielle Galloway, said storytelling was at the heart of this year’s Soiree, with the entire two-day program themed under ‘The next chapter in luxury’.
“Luxury transcends mere opulence – it is the art of curating moments that leave a lasting impression. When hosting those who consistently redefine excellence for discerning clientele, we knew that they deserved an experience which was nothing short of extraordinary,” Galloway said.
“Every element of the day was designed to immerse our members and partners in a narrative both profound and rare, that also resonated with LTC’s journey as we continue to build on an already incredible House of Luxury. Throughout the day, our members were captivated by the level of hospitality, with exclusive access to the most remarkable places and generosity of the amazing people who welcomed us to this unique landscape.
“Here, you don’t just witness the stories – you feel them. This place holds authenticity, depth, and emotion, reminding us that in travel, it is these deep human connections that define true luxury and creating lasting impact.”
“Many of our guests, despite their extensive travels, shared that Longreach had always been on their bucket list,” Luxury Travel Collection general manager, Nikki Glading, said. “From stepping off a private jet onto the rich red soil to raising a glass of champagne under the endless Outback sky, every moment has been an invitation to connect with something truly special. Our Global Business Owners are the heart of our success, and Soiree is our opportunity to show how much we value their commitment. We strive to create a bespoke, luxurious experience that makes them feel truly celebrated and connected with their LTC family.”
Throughout the event, leaders reflected on the evolving definition of luxury, embracing travel that is deeply personal and steeped in cultural significance.
“Big skies, breathtaking landscapes, and the rich stories of generations past make Longreach an unforgettable destination,” Outback Queensland Tourism Association CEO, Denise Brown, said.
“Here, luxury isn’t just about indulgence – it’s about exclusive, tailor-made experiences that immerse travellers in the essence of the Outback. We are thrilled to welcome the Luxury Travel Collection and share our region’s legendary stories, world-class museums, and warm Outback hospitality.”
The 2025 Soiree was made possible through the support of amazing partners including platinum partner PONANT, all dedicated to curating journeys that inspire, connect, and leave a lasting impact.
The day ended under a perfect full moon with an emotional rendition of Waltzing Matilda, presented on the wing of Boeing 747, The Queen of the Skies, from Opera Queensland. This serenade set the tone for the next chapter of luxury travel in Australia and New Zealand, the theme to be discussed the following day at the leadership Day Conference in Brisbane.
