Mandala Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of Hoteloco, a boutique hotel featuring 39 rooms spread across five levels. Located at 8 Garden Street, Alexandria, Hoteloco is set to become a distinctive addition to Sydney’s vibrant hospitality scene.
Embracing its proximity to the historic Eveleigh Railway Yards, Hoteloco boasts exposed concrete ceilings and an industrial aesthetic.
The hotel’s name, “Hoteloco,” pays homage to “locomotive,” highlighting the area’s rich railway heritage and blending it seamlessly with modern design elements.
“Hoteloco allows us to offer travellers a distinctive boutique hotel experience that combines industrial charm with modern comfort,” said Mandala Hotels and Resorts director of business development, Elena Martiniuc.
Strategically situated across the road from the Australia Technology Park – a bustling tech hub – Hoteloco provides unparalleled convenience for both business and leisure travellers.
With Redfern Train Station and Waterloo Station just a five-minute walk away, guests will enjoy effortless access to Sydney’s key destinations. The hotel’s prime location near South Eveleigh ensures easy reach to commercial spaces and a variety of retail amenities, including restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets.
Developed by Belvoir Property, a renowned diversified development firm with a legacy dating back to the mid 1980s, Hoteloco reflects a commitment to quality and innovative project delivery.
“Hoteloco is a testament to our dedication to creating unique spaces that resonate with the history and vibrancy of their surroundings,” Belvoir Property director George Kafataris said.
Hoteloco is scheduled to open on the 11th of November 2024.
