Mandarin Oriental has announced two senior hires in Brad Berry joining as head of residences & homes and Philip Leighton taking on the role as head of Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes.
Berry brings more than 25 years of global experience in branded residential development and luxury real estate. Most recently, he served as vice president, global residential development at Rosewood Hotel Group, where he played a key role in expanding and positioning its residential portfolio. His career includes leadership positions at PortLiving, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and Kingdom Hotel Investments, where he worked across North America, Europe and the Middle East. Brad will report to the chief development officer.
Leighton brings over 20 years in the luxury travel and hospitality sector. He most recently launched and led Villas by Bailey Robinson and previously contributed to the growth of Abercrombie & Kent’s Global Villas business, including the creation of its ‘Private Estates’ offering. With a strong background in product strategy and operations, Philip will report to Brad.
“Brad and Philip bring a wealth of knowledge across different sectors to Mandarin Oriental and will be key cornerstones of our future growth in the residential and Exceptional Homes business,” Mandarin Oriental chief development officer Francesco Cefalu said. “I look forward to welcoming them to the Mandarin Oriental team and seek their guidance to continue driving our future growth.”
The appointments mark a step in Mandarin Oriental’s expansion into luxury living. Residences and Mandarin Oriental Exceptional Homes remain a key part of the Group’s development strategy, offering long-term value to partners and owners, and extending Mandarin Oriental’s signature service into private living spaces, the group said.
As the Group continues to grow across major cities and resort destinations worldwide, this focus ensures a consistent, brand-led experience – both within and beyond its hotels.
