Mariott Hotels has announced the opening of the Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel, a 393-room hotel set to redefine urban stays with elevated design, service, and experiences for discerning travellers.

This opening marks a new chapter of elevated hospitality in Petaling Jaya, where modern design, thoughtful amenities, and the brand’s signature Wonderful Hospitality converge to create an urban sanctuary for families, business travellers, and city explorers alike.

Prime location

Strategically positioned along the SPRINT Highway and adjacent to the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC), the hotel offers exceptional connectivity to Kuala Lumpur’s business hub and vibrant leisure destinations. Guests enjoy convenient proximity to Phileo Damansara MRT Station and a short 15-minute drive to KL Sentral, the city’s main transportation hub with direct rail links to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Easy access to the North-South Expressway (NSE) connects travelers to Malaysia’s major destinations, including Johor, Melaka, Perak, and Penang.

“Petaling Jaya continues to evolve as one of Greater Kuala Lumpur’s most dynamic districts – balancing business, lifestyle, and family appeal,” Marriott International regional vice president Indonesia and Malaysia Ramesh Jackson said.

“The opening of Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel reflects our commitment to offering guests an experience that captures the spirit of modern Malaysia – where contemporary design and wonderful hospitality define every experience under the Marriott Hotels brand.”

Elevated spaces

The hotel’s 393 guest rooms including 89 suites feature timeless interiors inspired by understated luxury. Soft lighting, contemporary furnishings, and premium amenities combine to create an atmosphere of calm sophistication. Family rooms are thoughtfully designed with bunks beds for children and a shared communal area, offering the perfect space for relaxation and connection. Spacious suites feature family-friendly layouts, separate living areas and indulgent bathtubs setting a new benchmark for comfort and convenience in the city.

Dining and leisure experiences

Guests can savor a host of dining experiences thoughtfully crafted for every occasion. The all-day dining restaurant serves a menu of international favorites and beloved local classics, while the Lobby Lounge, part of Greatroom – a brand signature at Marriott Hotels globally, offers a stylish setting for casual gatherings, light bites, and handcrafted cocktails. The hotel’s Chinese restaurant celebrates Cantonese cuisine, featuring regional specialties. The exclusive M Club Lounge offers a refined retreat for Elite and Club members, complete with personalized services, curated culinary offerings, and inspiring spaces to work or unwind.

For recreation, guests can take a refreshing dip in the outdoor pool or unwind while children enjoy playful moments at the Kids Club, while fitness enthusiasts can stay active at the state-of-the-art fitness center. For business travelers and event planners, the hotel offers 11 versatile meeting rooms with banquet facilities, equipped with advanced technology, supported by the hotel’s expert planning team, delivering seamless experiences for meetings, corporate functions, and social celebrations.

“Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel epitomizes urban hospitality – blending the convenience of a central location with the warmth of personalized service,” Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel general manager Daniyal Ng said. “Whether for business or leisure, we look forward to welcoming guests to experience and enjoy a stay that embodies the spirit of Marriott Hotels.”

Petaling Jaya Marriott Hotel participates in Marriott Bonvoy – the award-winning travel program from Marriott International – allowing members to earn and redeem points for their stay at the new hotel, and at other hotels and resorts across Marriott Bonvoy’s extraordinary portfolio of brands. With the Marriott Bonvoy app, members enjoy a level of personalization and a contactless experience that allows them to travel with peace of mind.
