Marriott International has appointed Arun Kumar as area general manager – Bali (Premium & Select Properties), with strategic oversight of 21 Marriott International properties across Bali.
Kumar has also been named general manager of The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and Bali International Convention Centre (BICC).
He brings more than 30 years of hospitality leadership experience across Asia, the Caribbean, and the United States with Marriott International, Hyatt and Accor.
Kumar returns to Bali from his role as market vice president – North India, Nepal and Bhutan, where he led the performance and strategic growth of 60 Marriott International hotels across the region.
As general manager, Arun Kumar will oversee operations at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and the adjoining BICC.
His focus will be on strengthening the resort’s wellness positioning while elevating guest experiences across accommodation, dining, meetings and events, destination weddings, family travel, and sustainability.
