Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania (HTO) will be holding the inaugural Meet Hawai‘i Roadshow in Aussie cities this month.
From July 27 to 30, the shows will be hitting the road and visiting Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.
This series of events designed for MICE industry professionals will consist of workshop sessions throughout the day, along with an evening cocktail networking event.
Not only will attendees have the chance to gain in-depth destination and product training on the Hawaiian Islands, they’ll also be in the running to experience Hawai‘i for themselves with a trip for two on offer at each event.
HTO will have a representative from each of the Island Chapters in attendance, along with twelve industry partners and the Hawai‘i Convention Centre joining us for the Meet Hawai‘i Roadshow.
By attending our workshop sessions, participants will have one-on-one “speed-dates” with MICE industry partners from Hawai‘i and our Island Chapter representatives will take them on a visual and informative journey through the Hawaiian Islands.

“In 2014, 313,053 Australians visited Hawai‘i and we expect to surpass this record breaking number again in 2015,” Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania’s account manager for meetings, conferences & incentives, Holly Ballard, said.
“From January to May this year we have continued to see growth in visitation from Australia to Hawai‘i with a 13.2% year to date increase versus the same period in 2014.
“With 2015 bringing substantial increases in air capacity across all three carriers (Hawaiian Airlines, Qantas and Jetstar), there has never been a better time for the industry to seriously consider Hawai‘i for a conference or event. Hawai‘i Tourism see this as a great opportunity for the MICE sector, and look forward to welcoming larger groups to the Hawaiian Islands.”
