Meet Hawai’i is returning to Australia and New Zealand in June 2026 for the annual Aloha Mission, bringing together hotel, cruise, convention centre, and attraction partners from across the Hawaiian Islands.
Planners who attend the Aloha Mission get access to an exclusive package offer from Meet Hawai‘i and its partners.
The Aloha Mission is a structured series of one-on-one and small-group meetings between Hawaiʻi’s top MICE partners and Oceania-based event planners. The 2026 program goes beyond product updates. Planners can hear directly from partners about how to design events in Hawaiʻi that are grounded in Pacific Island values and with people whose knowledge of place, reciprocity, and community has the power to reframe how attendees think about their own work.
For Oceania-based planners, Hawaiʻi offers a rare combination: a destination that is both capable of leaving attendees changed and easily accessible. Direct flights connect Sydney and Auckland to Honolulu year-round, and the Hawaiian Islands offer the full range of MICE infrastructure – from the Hawaiʻi Convention Center to intimate, culturally immersive settings that no conference room can replicate.
The delegation is led by Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau (HVCB) President and CEO Dr. Aaron J. Sala, who returns to Oceania to meet directly with planners and reinforce the relationships that have made this market a priority for Meet Hawaiʻi year after year. Alongside one-on-one partner meetings, the program includes meaningful networking events designed to deepen connections and share aloha with the Oceania business events community.
“Not simply a market, Oceania is represented by a community bound by a shared responsibility to carry culture into every space we enter with integrity and intention,” Dr. Sala said. “The Aloha Mission is an open invitation to deepen relationships with Oceania-based planners and to co-create business events rooted in Pacific values – events that will leave a lasting, positive impact on people, place, and culture.”
