This week, we had a gossip with Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s national business development manager. However, we lost our notes, so got him to fill out our standard interview form instead.

The challenge for the industry is…

The lack of trained and skilled personnel coming through.

The things I like about my job are…

The people I work with every day including colleagues and clients with the opportunity to provide a win-win solution.

And the frustrations are…

There is not always the opportunity to negotiate with the final decision-maker.

If I didn’t work in travel, I would be…

I would be an actor on stage (although I lack the actual talent required).

My favourite airline is…

Depends where I am travelling. Domestically our national airline, Qantas or through Asia either Singapore or Garuda Airlines.

My proudest moment was…

Winning the TAA (NSW) Award for Excellence 2019 because it recognises my achievements and validates my long-standing commitment to providing excellent service for both my hotels and our customers.

The naughtiest thing I ever did was…

How long is a piece of string…

I try to relax by…

Exercising including swimming, going to the gym or just walking the dogs.

The last time I feared for my life was…

Hang gliding which I have never done and never will.

If I can, I always try to avoid…

Negative people.

I really wish I had…

I am truly blessed with a wonderful family, partner, career and life so I really can’t wish for anything.

The best advice I’ve ever received was…

To treat people in the manner that you want to be treated yourself.

I don’t understand why people…

Don’t like Mondays.

My greatest weakness is…

Wines of any colour.

And my greatest strength is…

Ability to connect with people

If I won a $1 million lottery (aside from travelling), I would…

Buy a small villa by the sea.

If I was prime minister, I would…

Ensure that the tourism sector is well funded and that Tourism and dealing with all types of people was a subject taught at school.

If I could be someone else for one day, I would be…

The Queen of England.

I’ve always wanted to travel to…

South Africa so I can see my work colleagues in their natural environment.

My favourite holiday was…

Singapore because of shopping and food.
