Enhanced Mandara Spa and Pulse Fitness Center
NCL is placing a strong focus on wellness with significant updates to the Mandara Spa and Pulse Fitness Center. The spa, masterfully redesigned by the renowned Rockwell Group, will serve as a tranquil sanctuary aboard both ships. Highlights include:
- Clay Sauna: A new addition, this spa treatment offers detoxifying cleansing and gentle exfoliation, helping guests refresh their skin and leave the spa feeling revitalised.
- Thalassotherapy Loungers: The thalassotherapy pool will feature state-of-the-art loungers designed to promote relaxation, improve circulation, and soothe muscle tension.
- IV Drip Therapy: A first for NCL, this treatment provides a powerful boost of hydration and essential nutrients to enhance energy, immunity, and overall well-being.
- Thermal Suite Enhancements: The thermal suite will double the number of heated loungers compared to previous ships, offering more space for relaxation with stunning ocean views.
- Returning Spa Favourites: Guests will still be able to enjoy popular features such as the charcoal sauna, ice room, salt room, and flotation salt pool, known for its stress-relieving properties and antioxidant benefits.
Meanwhile, the Pulse Fitness Center will undergo a sleek redesign and be outfitted with cutting-edge exercise equipment, including cardiovascular machines and a dedicated spin studio. A variety of fitness classes will be available, from yoga and mat Pilates to cycling and stretching sessions, providing guests with plenty of opportunities to stay active while at sea.
The Aqua and Luna Game Zone
One of the most anticipated new features aboard Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna is the Aqua and Luna Game Zone, a reimagined evolution of NCL’s popular Galaxy Pavilion and arcade spaces. The entertainment hub will offer:
- Virtual Reality Games: Guests can immerse themselves in thrilling virtual reality experiences, including Space Racing and Beat Hero, where players can groove to the rhythm of the music using dual swords.
- Classic Arcade Games: Nostalgic gaming enthusiasts can enjoy retro titles like Ms. Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Down the Clown, providing fun for all ages.
- Bull’s Eye Bar: Expanding on NCL’s arcade offerings, this interactive dart experience now includes a full-service bar, where guests can sip hand-crafted cocktails while playing. The game features video-game-style graphics and automated scoring displayed on large screens, creating a more dynamic and competitive environment.
Leisure & recreation
Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna will also cater to fans of active, fun-filled experiences. The Tee Time mini-golf course will return, bigger and better, offering:
12 Interactive Holes Across Two Decks: The course, themed around the “Wonders of the World,” will be two and a half times larger than previous versions on other NCL ships, providing an immersive, multi-level experience for guests of all ages.
Responding to guest feedback, NCL will also feature a dedicated Pickleball Court, giving this growing sport its own space separate from the multi-purpose Stadium venue. Pickleball, a sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, has become a popular pastime for cruise guests, and this upgrade is sure to be a hit.
