MSC Cruises is strengthening its commercial leadership team with the appointment Megan Toni as head of sales Australia and New Zealand.

Toni brings more than 20 years of cruise industry experience to the role, including 16 years with P&O Cruises Australia as senior yield analyst.

Her most recent role as senior revenue analyst at Princess Cruises saw her spend six years leading pricing, inventory and promotional strategies.

Across these two roles, Toni has built a strong reputation for driving revenue growth and commercial performance.

As head of sales, Toni will lead MSC Cruises’ sales strategy across Australia and New Zealand, strengthening trade partnerships and expanding distribution channels.

Her career trajectory, from reservations consultant through to senior revenue leadership, has taken her across pricing, inventory, commercial planning and customer-facing functions, giving her a rare end-to-end understanding of the cruise business.

MSC Group Cruise Division managing director Australia & New Zealand, Katrina McAlpine, said the appointment reflects a deliberate approach to building commercial leadership in the region.

“We have a strong and dedicated sales team who have worked hard to build the relationships and reputation MSC Cruises enjoys across Australia and New Zealand today,” McAlpine said. “Megan’s appointment complements that foundation and will bring a depth of commercial and revenue expertise that will help us take our trade strategy to the next level.

“The modern sales environment requires leaders who can connect commercial strategy with customer and trade partner needs. Megan’s background gives her a holistic understanding of the cruise business and the customer journey, enabling her to have highly strategic conversations with our trade partners while identifying new opportunities to grow MSC Cruises revenue and market share.”
