MSC Cruises has made its Alaska debut, with the newly upgraded MSC Poesia departing Seattle on her inaugural sailing to the region, operating weekly seven-night itineraries through to September.
The ship departs weekly from Seattle, calling at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Juneau in Alaska, along with Victoria in Canada, with scenic cruising through Endicott Arm fjord and views of Dawes Glacier also included.
MSC Poesia arrives in Seattle following a significant upgrade, which introduced the MSC Yacht Club – the cruise line’s luxury ship-within-a-ship concept – along with two new specialty dining venues, an upgraded MSC Aurea Spa, a new MSC Gym powered by Technogym, a Gentleman’s Barber and new workout studios.
Dining options onboard include Butcher’s Cut, an American-style steakhouse, and Kaito Sushi Bar. Guests can also enjoy a culinary program inspired by the region, with tailored menus, expanded seafood selections, warming beverages and Alaska-inspired cocktails throughout the voyage.
Entertainment highlights include Dirty Dancing: In Concert, a live-to-film production featuring singers, dancers and a live band performing alongside the film, as well as live music, comedy, themed parties, family activities and expert talks, narrated scenic experiences and workshops focused on Alaska’s wildlife, geography and culture.
As part of its commitment to responsible operations in the region, MSC Cruises has partnered with ORCA to support marine research, with an expert onboard during peak whale season to lead crew training and guest education.
After the Alaska season concludes in September, MSC Poesia repositions to the Caribbean for Winter 2026/2027 before transiting the Panama Canal between Miami and Seattle ahead of her return to Alaska in April 2027. Itineraries for the 2027 season are available to book now.
