Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has joined the Sydney Film Festival (SFF) as the official presenting partner, bringing Festival audiences an enhanced outdoor cinema experience.
Under the banner SFFTV presented by Norwegian Cruise Line, the space features free public screenings, exclusive Festival content, and an immersive activation showcasing the brand’s signature approach to global travel and exploration, across both close to home and international holiday destinations. This cinematic activation is expected to reach millions of Sydneysiders and visitors as SFFTV lights up the heart of the spectacular Martin Place precinct of Vivid Sydney, alongside stunning light installations.
As part of the partnership, Sydney Film Festival attendees who purchase a Subscription or Flexipass will also have the chance to win the ultimate Mediterranean holiday with Norwegian Cruise Line on a nine-day cruise aboard Norwegian Breakaway.
“Sydney Film Festival connects audiences with stories from across the world, and Norwegian Cruise Line shares that same spirit of discovery and adventure,” Sydney Film Festival CEO, Frances Wallace, said. “NCL’s support will elevate SFFTV, creating an exciting space for audiences to experience cinema in the heart of the city.”
“We are proud to partner with the Sydney Film Festival, a collaboration that speaks to our shared passion for world-class entertainment,” Norwegian Cruise Line vice president and managing director Asia Pacific, Ben Angell, said.
“Film is one of the top interests among Norwegian Cruise Line’s guests, making this a natural fit. The partnership also comes at a perfect time as we debut our Silver Screen Bistro on Norwegian Breakaway – the world’s first immersive cinema and dining experience at sea. NCL is committed to delivering MORE at sea and we’re excited to bring this collaboration to life in ways that film lovers and cruise guests alike will enjoy, so stay tuned for more.”
The 72nd Sydney Film Festival will be held across Greater Sydney at iconic venues including the State Theatre, Event Cinemas George Street, Dendy Cinemas Newtown, Randwick Ritz, Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace Cremorne, Palace Cinemas Central and Norton Street, the Art Gallery of NSW, Casula Powerhouse, Sydney Town Hall, and more, including SFFTV in Martin Place.
