Managing director of CATO, Brett Jardine, has revealed that nearly $40,000 has been raised for prostate cancer.

In a heartfelt LinkedIn post, Jardine thanked supporters – including those who attended the CATO Christmas lunch – for helping to raise the funds.

“Over the past few months, I’ve been deeply moved by the support I’ve received in raising awareness and funds for prostate cancer,” he said.

Jardine, who has been personally impacted by prostate cancer, has worked tirelessly to raise funds for the cause. In September, he completed The Long Run as part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, while guests at this year’s CATO Christmas lunch were also invited to donate.

“Across just three months, we’ve raised close to $40,000, every cent of which has gone directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia to support research, awareness, and ongoing care for men,” he said.

“To those who gave, shared, showed up, walked beside me, and quietly encouraged me along the way – thank you. You didn’t have to, but you did, and that support has meant more than I can say, not only for me, but for the many others this cause impacts.

“You helped make this personal mission something that will have a real and lasting impact. I’m incredibly grateful.”
