The Australian travel industry is mourning the loss of Jigsaw Travel and Mogul Ski World founder Felicity Moss, who passed away peacefully at home on Monday following a short battle with cancer.
Surrounded by her family, Moss leaves behind a legacy spanning four decades in the travel sector, during which she built Jigsaw Travel and Mogul Ski World into respected and enduring businesses.
In a statement published to LinkedIn, the company described Moss as a visionary leader whose passion for travel, dedication to clients and commitment to the industry helped shape the organisations she founded.
“For four decades, Felicity’s passion for travel, unwavering commitment to her clients, and visionary leadership shaped Jigsaw Travel and Mogul Ski World into the businesses they are today,” the statement said.
The company said her influence extended well beyond her own businesses, with Moss leaving a lasting impact on colleagues, industry partners and the broader Australian travel community.
Tributes quickly began flowing from across the industry following news of her passing.
J.C. Group founder and managing director Freddy Mikhael said he was “deeply saddened” by the news.
“Felicity, a valued colleague, fellow CT Partners member and dear friend. Her passion for our industry, kindness, and generosity touched so many lives and will never be forgotten,” Mikhael wrote on LinkedIn.
“My heartfelt condolences to her family and the entire Jigsaw Travel and Mogul Ski World team.”
Bunnik Tours joint CEO Dennis Bunnik also shared his condolences, saying: “So sorry to hear this news. My deepest condolences, love to the entire Jigsaw family.”
The company said Moss’s values, generosity and love of travel would continue to guide the business and inspire those who worked alongside her.
A service celebrating Moss’s life will be held at St John’s Anglican Church in Toorak on 17 June at 3pm, followed by a celebration of her life at Royal South Yarra from 4.15pm.
