The stars have aligned with a new Sydney precinct set to launch The Hollywood Quarter (HQ Sydney) on Friday, October 14, kicking off a month of specially curated events.
Adjacent to Central, and a short walk across the park from Sydney’s CBD, HQ Sydney is a one-stop destination offering all the talent, culture and nightlife you want from this vibrant inner-city suburb.
The launch comes with a series of special offers, events and activations at iconic bars, clubs, restaurants, and establishments such as the Ace Hotel Sydney, Paramount House Hotel, the Golden Age Cinema and more.
A project facilitated by the Darlinghurst Business Partnership, and supported by City of Sydney precinct activation grant, HQ Sydney is a destination for anyone looking for good food, bar hopping and a thriving nightlife.
DBP President Stephan Gyory said: “This area used to be a no-go zone, a bit shabby and rundown and over the past few years we’ve seen an influx of great hospitality venues popup. We just needed to give the area a nudge – give it a name and, working alongside the local businesses, put it on the map once more.
“While we’ve given the area a nod to the past, the HQ precinct has its eye firmly on the future.”
A destination for anyone looking for good food, bar hopping, al-fresco dining and a thriving nightlife zone, Sydney’s Lord Mayor, Clover Moore added: “We can see this community of venues, art galleries and hotels have a very exciting time ahead.

“This is one of my absolute favourite corners of the city, which is why we’re so happy to support Hollywood Quarter – not only will this series of events to help local businesses bounce back from the pandemic in the short term, it will bring them, and the broader community closer together for similar events into the future.”
