Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has launched a range of new initiatives to prepare its travel partners in Australia and New Zealand for wave season.

NCL has refreshed its Book-A-BDM platform in line with wave season, with agents now able to go online and book a specially-curated session with one of its BDMs at a time that best suits them.

The session will allow agents to discuss one of five topics with a BDM, including what wave season looks like for NCL in 2021, hosting a consumer event in the first quarter of 2021, current wave season promotions, and maximising future cruise credits.

Furthermore, NCL’s senior sales manager for Australia and New Zealand, Angela Middleton, will host a dedicated wave season webinar this Thursday (4 February).

The webinar will provide insights into a variety of topics such as NCL’s current offers, key itineraries, customer insights, the brand’s revamped Norwegian Central agent portal, and its new Partners First Rewards program.

NCL has also curated a handy 2021 wave season planning checklist, accessible via Norwegian Central, which encourages them to know their product, create marketing campaigns and reconnect with past guests.

Damian Borg, director of sales for Australia and New Zealand at NCL, said wave season typically presents a great opportunity for agents to kick-start their year by capitalising on increased demand for cruising at this time.

“In preparation for what we believe will be a longer-than-normal wave [season], we have tailored a variety of new and refreshed tools that travel partners can utilise to ensure that they are well-equipped to promote NCL and convert any leads into bookings,” he said.

Agents can register for a Book-A-BDM wave update session here and/or sign up for the wave season webinar at either 10:30am or 2pm (AEDT).
