Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort has introduced revitalised guest rooms and redefined conference and event facilities crafted for next-level meetings as part of its major new chapter.
Renovations focus on 110 one-bedroom suites and 68 resort rooms, bringing a fresh aesthetic that blends contemporary design with the relaxed spirit of the resort.
Works begins in early 2026 and will be delivered in stages, with completion scheduled for 2026. This $20 million investment reflects the resort’s commitment to elevating the guest experience and shaping its future for years to come.
“This renovation marks an important milestone for the resort and the wider precinct,” Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort general manager and Accor portfolio general manager Michael Daviss said.
“We remain deeply committed to offering an experience that reflects the evolving needs of our guests, our conference partners, and the Sunshine Coast community. The refreshed accommodation and upgraded facilities will honour the relaxed coastal character of the resort while introducing a new level of comfort and contemporary design.”
This renewal follows several key enhancements in recent years, including the revitalisation of the Lobby in 2019, full refurbishment of 176 executive rooms and the renovation and addition of new bungalows completed in 2021.

Located within the resort, the Sunshine Coast Convention Centre further strengthens the precinct as a premier destination for business events. The centre offers flexibility for conferences, exhibitions, and gala occasions, with space for up to 1,400 delegates across a range of indoor and outdoor venues. Its 1,400 square metre ballroom, dedicated breakout rooms, and scenic waterfront settings provide a refined environment supported by advanced technology and thoughtful design.
“Demand for exceptional meeting and event environments continues to grow, and this transformation allows us to support business travellers and conference planners in new and exciting ways,” Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort and Sunshine Coast Convention Centre director of sales Jenifer Dwyer Slee said.
“The combination of revitalised guest rooms and conference rooms, as well as our established convention centre creates an elevated experience for delegates, planners, and attendees. We are creating a destination that inspires brand visibility, knowledge sharing, enhanced delegate experiences, all in one of Australia’s most stunning coastal settings.”
Together, the enhanced resort and expansive convention centre form an inspiring coastal destination for meetings and events. Planners can expect elevated accommodation, world-class facilities, exceptional service, and a setting that inspires collaboration and creates lasting impressions.
