Luxury hotel brand Oakwood has marked its presence in Australia with the full opening of its Melbourne luxury property this month.

After a smaller opening early in the year, the property has opened to more guests.

This comes alongside the opening of Sky Bar on level 40 of the hotel which invites guests to partake in a contemporary dining experience set against panoramic views of the city.

Oakwood recently hosted a media dinner where the CEO, Dean Schreiber, and global VP marketing and distribution, Ee Jin Lim, joined some journalists in Sydney for the hotels full opening.

“24 hours in Sydney with the opportunity to share with key travel and trade media about #Oakwood and its growth and ambitions, the concept of serviced apartments that is becoming a mainstream accommodation of choice as Oakwood Premier Melbourne marks the arrival of luxury serviced living to Australia,” Lim wrote on LinkedIn.

The official opening of Oakwood Premier Melbourne extended the Oakwood Premier brand presence to 10 of the world’s favourite gateway cities.

“As we strive towards our goal of doubling Oakwood’s portfolio of managed properties by 2025, we are cognizant of evolving traveller preferences and expectations,” Schreiber said of the original opening back in December 2021.

“Within our ecosystem of eight distinctive Oakwood experiences, we are committed to continuous innovation and evolution with a guest-first approach to cater to both business and leisure travellers at different cycles of their life.

“Tailored luxury is the foundation of Oakwood Premier.

“We are excited to debut this distinctive style of hospitality at Oakwood Premier Melbourne, which marks the significant milestone of Oakwood’s storied legacy in hospitality excellence by housing our 10,000th key.”

A 40-storey landmark in Melbourne’s cityscape, Oakwood Premier Melbourne showcases 132 luxurious hotel rooms and 260 serviced apartments with fully-equipped kitchens for both transient and extended guests.
