Oceania Cruises will transition to an adults-only onboard experience, with the luxury cruise line set to exclusively welcome guests aged 18 and over on all new reservations for future voyages.

The policy takes effect immediately, with the cruise line confirming that all existing bookings made prior to 8 January 2026 that include travellers under 18 will be honoured.

The move is designed to further enhance Oceania Cruises’ signature onboard atmosphere, which the line says is defined by tranquillity, sophisticated service and an unhurried pace of travel.

“Our guests have consistently shared that the tranquil environment aboard our ships is one of the primary reasons they return time and time again,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer at Oceania Cruises. “By transitioning to an adults-only experience, we are enhancing the very essence of the Oceania Cruises journey – one defined by sophistication, serenity and discovery.”

Oceania Cruises said the decision followed extensive research and feedback from repeat guests, travel partners and new-to-brand travellers, which consistently highlighted the appeal of a calm, refined onboard environment.

The change aligns with the brand’s “Your World. Your Way.” promise, reinforcing its focus on destination-led itineraries, immersive experiences and the freedom for guests to explore at their own pace alongside like-minded travellers.

The cruise line added that the adults-only approach reflects growing demand from mature, affluent travellers seeking a more serene luxury cruise experience.
