Pan Pacific Perth has appointed Scott Alderson as director of Commercial, driving the hotel’s commercial strategy across sales, revenue and business development.
Alderson is a recognised leader within Western Australia’s tourism and hospitality landscape, bringing over two decades of commercial leadership experience.
Most recently, he served as director of sales at Crown Perth Resort, leading the commercial team responsible for driving conferencing and hotel revenue across the resort’s three hotels and convention centre for more than nine years.
He has also held senior sales and marketing leadership positions within InterContinental Hotels Group in New Zealand and Mantra Group in Australia.
In 2025, he was recognised as a finalist for both the WA Tourism Award for Individual Excellence by a Tourism Professional and the Sally Webster Ally Award, recognising his contribution to the industry and commitment to inclusive leadership.
Shaping WA’s Tourism sector
Alongside his executive career, Scott has played an active role in shaping the state’s tourism and export sector.
He currently serves as chair of the Western Australia Branch Committee of the Australian Export Council, winning their national award for Individual Contribution in 2024.
Alderson has also recently returned to the Destination Perth Board, having previously served as Treasurer from 2018-2021.
