Pan Pacific Perth has entered a new era of luxury with the completion of its multi-million-dollar transformation which includes 488 guest rooms and suites, lobby, Club Lounge, and the meeting and event spaces.

Designed by FDAT Architects, the hotel’s interiors, lobby, and Pacific Club Lounge integrates design inspiration from Western Australia’s natural beauty along with Pan Pacific’s Asian heritage, offering guests a blend of modern luxury and local charm.

The largest and most versatile event space in Perth, which include a convention level and event spaces that feature over 2,500sqm of versatile function areas, and two ballrooms with dedicated pre-function spaces. Helmed by experienced meeting planners, and enhanced with modern AV technology and flexible configurations, the spaces are ideal for everything from large-scale conferences to immersive brand activations and elegant celebrations.

Set against the backdrop of Perth’s riverfront and cultural heart, Pan Pacific Perth’s transformation blends luxury with purpose, reflecting Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s (PPHG) deep commitment to sustainability. Features include decorative panels made from repurposed denim, hand-pressed natural herbs, and furniture made of 100% recycled oceans plastics, each crafted to reduce waste and celebrate natural materials. PPHG was also recently recognised as the first hospitality brand in Oceania to receive the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Multi-site certification for all six of its Australian properties, highlighting its leadership in sustainable hospitality.

“We are incredibly proud of this transformation, which not only reaffirms our commitment to luxury and sustainability but also strengthens our identity as a place of celebration – something we’ve proudly been for over three decades,” Pan Pacific Perth general manager, Rens Breur, said.

“This refurbishment is more than a revitalisation of our guest rooms and event spaces; it’s a meaningful evolution that reflects our core values and underscores our continued investment in Perth’s vibrant hospitality landscape. For so many, Pan Pacific Perth has been the backdrop to life’s milestone moments. With this transformation, we’re elevating that legacy – enhancing our offering to deliver exceptional experiences. As the city’s largest hotel convention destination, our flexible venues are perfectly suited for everything from executive meetings and large-scale conferences to truly memorable celebrations.”

Another key moment for the property, aligning with the unveiling, is the debut of UMA’s “Journey Through the Amazon” menu, a culinary voyage celebrating the diverse and bold flavors of the continent. Executive chef Xerxes Bodhanwala’s new menu brings together all corners of South America, from the highlands of Peru to the busy streets of Chile, through the soul of Brazil, and the ancient spirit of Machu Picchu.

The restaurant, a favorite among locals and visitors alike, continues to push the boundaries of gastronomic creativity, offering a blend of Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese influences within its new signature South American-inspired menu. UMA’s striking design, featuring earthy tones and vibrant artwork, sets the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable dining experience, with pool and river views enhancing the atmosphere.

Pan Pacific Perth is the largest of PPHG’s six properties in Australia and a flagship expression of the brand. Perth’s multi-million refurbishment is one of three recent and major unveilings across Australia, including PARKROYAL Melbourne Airport in late 2024, and PARKROYAL Parramatta last month. These projects are part of the group’s global asset enhancement initiative of its major assets across the world, as it continues to expand its market share in luxury travel as well as the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sectors.
