Pearl Expeditions has appointed Julie Golding as head of commercial and product marketing to drive the company’s growth phase.

Reporting to Pearl Expeditions general manager & head of sustainability Mick Fogg, Golding leads the commercial sales and customer service team while also working closely with marketing & PR agency GTI Tourism and sales representation agency La Collection.

Golding will be responsible for implementing integrated sales and marketing strategies to drive growth while building the brand’s unique positioning in the boutique expedition market.

Pearl Expeditions executive chair Sarina Bratton AM said Golding will build on the commercial strength established by expedition concierge and partnership managers Nicci Foulsham and Jo Schuetz.

“Julie has a strong background in key account management within the Australasian travel industry, keen commercial acumen and a successful history of identifying and creating trade and consumer marketing opportunities,” Bratton said.

“She’ll ensure the unique experiences that have been expertly crafted by Pearl Expeditions are well articulated to our partners and consumer audiences, and this appointment marks our company’s transition from start-up to a fully operational business model, which is a significant milestone.”

With more than 20 years of experience in luxury travel, tourism and hospitality, Golding draws on long-held industry relationships, as she develops a range of commercial partnerships and initiatives to support the growth of Pearl Expeditions.

Prior to joining Pearl Expeditions, Golding held key positions at Rocky Mountaineer, Silversea and Ponant.

Offering boutique expedition cruises in Australia’s Kimberley region, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia and Borneo aboard the 50-metre, 30-guest motor yacht The Paspaley Pearl, Pearl Expeditions is the latest venture from the renowned Paspaley Group.
