Bringing a wealth of relevant experience in the luxury travel industry at senior level, Karen Conlon has joined Plateau International as sales director for Australia and New Zealand. As an experienced member of the team, Karen will be based in Sydney, building on her connections across the travel industry to represent Plateau’s luxury portfolio.
Karen most recently spent 10 years with Belmond in professional roles including account director for groups under their owner LVMH Groups in Australia and New Zealand and was previously director of sales, trains and cruises for Asia Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand.
With an impressive history in leisure, groups and the incentive sectors of the travel and tourism industry, her skillset in sales, management, negotiation and customer relationships will make a valuable contribution to the successful growth of Plateau’s strong network in the region, delivering an exceptional B2B customer experience as the main point of contact for partner tour operators, travel agents and travel designers interested in the Plateau portfolio of boutique hotels, elite river cruises and high-end DMCs.
