Accor has converted and rebranded a former police station in Greenwich to Mercure London Greenwich as it forges ahead with its expansion plans.
Following a series of upgrades and renovations, the 145 room hotel featuers a bar and restaurant in the former shooting range of the building, and a two storey extension with views over the city.
t also housesseveral meeting rooms and is situated near transport links and team building activities for conferences and meetings.
Mercure London Greenwich Hotel general manager Michael Rebeiro described the conversion as a significant development which would appeal to leisure and business guests.
“Having the opportunity to renovate a previously redundant building – especially one with such history and character – has made this opening really exciting,” he said.
Mercure is a mid-scale hotel chain with a network of over 700 hotels in 51 countries.
