Ponant Explorations has unveiled new “3+1” group offer across selected 2026 and 2027 Scandinavian and Canadian winter sailings aboard the Le Commandant Charcot, the world’s only luxury icebreaker.
Available on selected northern winter departures in 2026 and 2027, the “3 + 1” group offer includes a complimentary fourth cabin (cruise-only, based on three cabins booked), alongside the Ponant Bonus of up to 30 per cent savings and an additional 10 per cent group discount.
From illuminated Nordic cities and traditional Christmas markets to the possibility of witnessing the Northern Lights, guests will be immersed in the beauty of the Arctic winter while enjoying the exceptional comfort of one of the world’s most advanced expedition vessels.
In addition, the offer includes three departures to Canada’s St. Lawrence region, where guests can experience breathtaking snow-covered landscapes and Québec’s renowned hospitality.
Travel Weekly was onboard Le Commandant Charcot when it was welcomed to Hobart earlier this year by Ponant Asia Pacific CEO Deb Corbett with special guests onboard for a gala event which included cocktails, emotional speeches, an exceptional dinner and show.
The arrival of Le Commandant Charcot in February was a homecoming of sorts, including for its Captain Stanislav Devorsine.
Hobart is a premier gateway for pioneering Antarctic expeditions, including French research vessel L’Astrolabe on which Captain Devorsine served, spending 10 summers in Hobart. He also served on L’Astrolabe II which is also currently in port, berthed adjacent to Le Commandant Charcot.
