Princess Cruises has officially launched its 2026-2027 Australian summer season after Crown Princess‘ return from her 114-night World Cruise.
Crown Princess cruised 36,000 nautical miles around the globe, carrying 2,720 guests and 1,130 crew on board before arriving in Sydney Harbour.
Crown Princess is the first of four Princess ships to set sail in Australian waters this summer. Royal Princess, Grand Princess and Coral Princess will join Crown Princess over the season ahead. Royal Princess will return to her Sydney homeport for her third season down under, while Grand Princess will be Australia’s next year-round Princess ship. Coral Princess will visit as part of her World Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, bringing 2,500 American guests to Australia and New Zealand.
Princess Cruises will operate 62 departures across 42 unique itineraries in its Australian 2026-2027 season. The 2026-2027 season gives Australian travel advisors a range of holidays to offer their clients, spanning short coastal getaways and longer voyages across Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
“For 50 years, Australians have trusted Princess to take them to some of the world’s most remarkable destinations, and we’re proud to begin another summer season offering more choice, more destinations and unforgettable holiday experiences both close to home and across the region,” Princess Cruises vice president of Asia Pacific Matthew Rutherford said.
“Australia is one of the world’s great cruising destinations, and there’s something special about experiencing it from sea.”
Princess Cruises expects the 2026-2027 Australian summer season to generate an estimated $231 million in economic impact across the country.
“This season gives our guests the opportunity to explore an extraordinary range of destinations around the country, while also supporting the local communities and tourism businesses that make those experiences possible,” Rutherford added.
