Princess Cruises recently hosted its first travel agent inspection onboard Discovery Princess, welcoming 80 travel advisors onboard.

Agents were treated to a three-course lunch followed by a guided ship tour, giving them an opportunity to experience the ship’s onboard dining and facilities on January 31, before Discovery Princess set sail on its 14-day cruise to New Zealand.

“This was my first time onboard Discovery Princess, and I was genuinely impressed,” said TravelManagers advisor Arnold Lanse.

“The standout for me was the sense of newness throughout the ship. The cabins feel fresh, modern and well designed. Everything looks polished and well maintained, creating a strong first impression from the moment you step onboard. Walking around the ship, the layout feels intuitive and spacious. Public areas flow naturally and never feel cluttered.

“The overall design is contemporary yet comfortable, which I know many clients value. The onboard facilities were another highlight. There’s an excellent balance between relaxation spaces, dining venues and entertainment areas. It feels like a ship that works equally well for couples, families and mature travellers.

“Overall, Discovery Princess feels refined, impressive and easy to enjoy. It’s a ship I would confidently recommend, particularly for clients who appreciate modern cabins, a fresh aesthetic and well thought out spaces.”

As Lanse explained, the inspection allowed advisors to gain first-hand insight into the onboard experience they recommend to guests. From dining and staterooms to public spaces and service touchpoints, the visit was designed to help agents confidently sell the Princess product.

“Welcoming travel agents onboard Discovery Princess for her first inspection visit was a fantastic opportunity to bring the Princess experience to life,” said Nicholas Ferguson, Princess Cruises senior director, Sales & Marketing, Asia Pacific.

“There is no substitute for first-hand experience, and giving agents the chance to dine onboard, explore the ship and speak directly with our team helps them better understand what sets Princess apart.”
